Oolong’s gentle sweetness takes beautifully to citrus. This version is crisp, aromatic, and easy to make one glass at a time.
Makes: 1 glass · Preparation: 5 minutes, plus cooling
What you’ll need
- 1 VoyaTea pyramid bag
- 150 ml water, heated to 85–93°C / 185–200°F
- A generous handful of ice
- 1–2 thin slices of orange
- A small rosemary sprig, optional
- 1 teaspoon honey or a sweetener of your choice, optional
Make it your moment
- Steep the tea bag in the hot water for 4–5 minutes. Remove the bag.
- If using honey, stir it into the warm tea until dissolved. Let the tea cool slightly.
- Fill a sturdy glass with ice and tuck an orange slice against the side.
- Pour in the tea. Add another orange slice and a rosemary sprig, if you like.
- Stir gently, taste, and add a little cold water if you prefer a lighter glass.
A small tip
The concentrated brew keeps the flavour present as the ice melts. If you are preparing ahead, cool and refrigerate the plain tea, then add ice and citrus just before serving.
